Do I need a certificate to sail abroad?

Some countries ( e. Croatia, Greece, Spain, Turkey ) ask for a licence. When you don't have the official yachtsman's licence, you can hand over the licence taken in a sailing school. Your logbook and experience convince the charterer sufficient enough.

I feel uncomfortable on the Northsea, The Mediterranean is said to be easier?

That's true, due to the absence of current and tide, and you can easily sail on sight. Depending on the crew, the choice of your destination, even within the same country, determines the level of difficulty. We gladly inform you while choosing your charter.

What do I take with me?

Personal things. The boats are well-equipped, you can find that on the inventory list. Ask about sheets and bedding. This is available but if not you can always rent.

What about catering?

Supermarkets and shops are present at the port of departure. Some companies (especially long distance destinations) have a service of bringing your groceries aboard. Before leaving you can mark the things you need on a list.
