The Mistral, a cold northerwind, which can blow strongly during summertime. He can blow very strongly near Bonnifacio, while the eastcoast (Porto Vecchio to Bastia) is less subject to the Mistral.

Corsica, alias "île de beauté” is the birthplace of Napoléon Bonaparte. You can start your sailing trip from Ajaccio with its Port de la Citadelle. More northern passed the Gulf of Sagone lies the nice village of Cargese. Further on Girolata, Calvi, Ile Rousse. Visit the small fishing port St. Florent before rounding Cape Corse . Choosing the southside you'll get to Propriano, the small fishing ports Caldarello and Cargese in Bonifacio with its high cliffs. From here you can sail round the Lavezzi islands or… you can sail round the island in 2 weeks.
