Navigation School: Good to know!
The Channel Sailing navigation school is a “federation” acknowledged by the State under Number EO9. For our sailing courses, we follow the RYA (British) programme.
At completion of the courses, for all levels (Competent crew, Day Skipper, Coastal Skipper), the students receive a certificate of their participation, exactly as by our collegues.
The sailors who, following our courses or some independant training, possess the necessary practical experience and theoretical knowledge, may obtain
the “Yachtmaster Offshore certificate of competence” ..
Passing this exam leads to an international certificacte, as can be seen on our website.
A few times per year, this exam is held by an external British RYA examiner in Zeebrugge.
